About Ryan Strathy, MS, LPC

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I consider it to be an honor and a privilege to be a part of each individual’s healing and journey through therapy. I believe in the importance of creating a strong therapeutic relationship between myself and my clients. I strive to create such a relationship by treating each client with unconditional positive regard and empathy. Seeking and asking for help can be difficult especially if you have ever felt invalidated or unheard. I aim to support my clients in expressing their needs and becoming their most authentic selves to create a meaningful, purposeful life.

My previous experience includes working in adolescent partial hospitalization programs (PHP) with individuals ages 12-18. I served as clinical lead in both a co-occurring and an eating disorder PHP. In addition to working with adolescents, I have experience working with adults in a mental health intensive outpatient (IOP) level of care.

I work with adolescents and adults struggling with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, co-occurring disorders, and addictions. I have a passion for working with teens struggling with anger and defiant behaviors. I treat individuals by utilizing elements of cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and motivational interviewing.
